Evaluation during Close Protection Training
During our close protection course, we evaluate not only your proficiency as a close protection operative but also your personal administration skills, punctuality, personality, and overall conduct. Consequently, this comprehensive assessment process ensures that upon course completion, you receive a graded evaluation that prospective employers can use to gauge your employability more effectively.
This is not an attendance course, and we do not guarantee a pass. Our course is built by those in the industry, for those who truly want to work in this industry.

Comprehensive Close Protection Training
Our close protection course is designed to begin with the fundamental skills needed and then progressively building upon them. As we delve into the training, we recognise that Close Protection is an inherently high-stress role. Therefore, our training program is dedicated to equipping you with the necessary skills to thrive in this demanding field. You will be tested, and you will be pushed.
Close Protection is regarded as the pinnacle of security responsibilities. It encompasses a wide range of experiences and challenges, and can involve intense high-stress situations. In this role, you'll find yourself safeguarding VIPs, celebrities, sports figures, politicians, or foreign dignitaries. Ultimately, you may be responsible fr someone's life.
Spanning 23 days, our course seamlessly incorporates the Emergency Care for First Responders course which sits at band D of the PHEM framework, providing you with essential medical qualifications.
Beyond the SIA Close protection Course
Unlike many of our competitors out there, we deliver a course that goes above and beyond the minimum requirements set out by the SIA. This is because our instructors have extensive real world experience, spanning 60 years, and use that experience to teach you the fundamentals of operative as a close protection operative.

Close Protection Seminar
Furthermore, as an extension of our courses, we provide potential delegates with the valuable opportunity to visit our training facility and partake in a concise half-day seminar focused on our Close Protection Course. This great event, which typically runs from Midday until approximately 16:00, is free to attend and offers a multitude of benefits.
During this seminar, you will have the chance to ask questions, interact with our team, and gain a brief yet comprehensive overview of how the industry operates.
It's worth noting that these seminars have limited availability. To secure your spot, we recommend promptly submitting your details to us as soon as possible.
Completion
Students who successfully complete the close protection course will be issued with a Level 3 Award for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry. A level 3 award for Emergency Care for First Responders and our own Indrsiec grading of either a Pass, Merit, or Distinction.
Note: Close Protection Operatives must also hold a valid First Aid Certificate (such as a Emergency Care for First Responders (ECFR), First Person on Scene International (FPOSi) or First Response Emergency Care (FREC) course) and have passed a criminal background check to obtain an SIA Close Protection licence. With regard to the first aid qualification. The industry standard is one of the three above, and while a standard First Aid at Work course will qualify you for training, due to the nature of the industry, we will not accept this, nor will a majority of the industry when looking for work.
As part of our close protection course package, we offer a 4 day Emergency Care for First Responders course included in the price, taking place on the first 4 days of the close protection course.
Close Protection Course Prerequisites
Candidates must meet the following to attend our close protection course:
- Aged 18 or above
- Must have passed a criminal record check. Refer to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) website.
- Be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Need to be of reasonable health and fitness levels due to the nature of the course
- Identification and proof of address (i.e. passport, drivers’ licence, bills, bank statements) must also be provided. The address proof cannot be more than 3 months’ old
- Should you wish to be eligible as a driver on the course then you must hold a full driving licence and be at least 25 years of age. Serious driving offences will be individually assessed by the insurance company.
- Hold a suitable First Aid Qualification, such as our Level 3 Emergency Care for First Responders qualification (required by the SIA to attend a Close Protection Course)
